Abstract
The paper describes a mathematical model of rotating electrical machines, obtained by referring to the effective discontinous distribution of the stator and of the rotor slots along the air-gap surfaces.The effective air-gap distribution of the magnetic field in this way can easily be carried out by solution of a system of two linear differential equations with no-constant coefficients and by solution of a recurrence equation.
