  • Abstract
The T-matrix allows a decoupling of the azimuth modes of the cross section axisymmetric conducting bodies. An eigenfrequency secular equation reveals a splitting of the complex poles as a sphere is deformed into a spheroid or cylinder. A level scheme, similar to an energy-level diagram in optical spectroscopy, is now possible.
