Abstract :
Phase-matched parametric coupling between forward and backward waves on a high frequency transmission line is achieved by periodic nonlinearity. An efficiency of more than 90% in the case of frequency doubling is experimentally observed as well as parametric mixing and parametric amplification with a gain of nearly 30 dB.
