Abstract
Densely packed dipole arrays offer very wide reflection bands but the transmission/reflection band rolloff is very slow. The Fabry-Perot interferometer approach is used to design a two-layer superdense frequency selective surface (FSS) which retains its wide reflection band and has a band edge ratio of about 1.1.
