Abstract
The authors propose a new control scheme for induction motors based on rotor flux control. The rotor flux is directly controlled according to the command value of a simple control circuit. Fast torque response, almost insensitive to the parameter variations of the induction motor, is made possible. It is verified using simulation and experiment that the drive system using this method operates well and has good dynamics.
