  • Abstract
    A displacement sensing technique is described, based on the use of a laser source frequency modulated at a relatively high rate to induce visibility modulation in the ´baseband´ interference signal derived from a two-beam interferometer. Feedback control of the laser modulation, to lock the visibility to a minimum, is demonstrated.
