Abstract :
A simple method is proposed to approximately compute Padé approximants of a function in general not rational. Furthermore, by choosing suitably a set of parameters, the derived approximants solve a number of problems, where the corresponding usual Padé approximation cannot be applied or yields unsatisfactory results.
