Abstract :
A novel frequency divider configuration is presented that is based on the well-known regenerative frequency divider. In addition to a multiplier in the feedback loop-as originally suggested-an auxiliary frequency divider is included in the loop. The maximum operating frequency of the novel configuration can be close to twice the maximum input frequency of the auxiliary divider
