Abstract :
The performance of a wavelength-division-multiplexed light-wave system employing dual-wavelength InGaAsP LEDs and photodiodes near 1 ¿m and 1.3 ¿m wavelengths is reported. The dual-wavelength receiver, operated at 33 Mbit/s, provided ¿38.5 dBm and ¿39.7 dBm sensitivities at 10¿9 BER in the two wavelength bands, respectively.
