Abstract
This paper describes the production of a wolframite concentrate (Fe, Mn) WO4 from a water based slurry of cassiterite (SnO2 ) ores found in Cornwall, England, using high gradient magnetic separation. The wolframite concentrate, which contains appreciable amounts of tin is treated with MnCl2 solution in a magnetic field to further concentrate the wolframite.
