Abstract
Core losses of amorphous alloys of the general composition Fe84 Cy B16-y have been measured under sinusoidal induction B and sinusoidal field H at 50 Hz. The losses in as-quenched and magnetic field-annealed samples have been compared. Magnetic annealing lowers the losses, generally by about 1/3, increases the remanence ratio from about 0.4 to 0.8, and lowers the coercive field by 30 to 50%. Elastic stress annealing affects on some Fe100-x Bx amorphous alloys have also been studied.
