  • Abstract
    Statistical multiple access is analysed for a number of independent transmitter-receiver pairs exchanging data packets over a shared mobile-radio channel. Rayleigh fading `softens¿ the channel, resulting in less packet contentions and higher traffic capacity than for the standard Aloha channel.
