  • Abstract
Operational safety at nuclear power stations is the most important consideration should a complete loss of electrical supplies occur during accident or transient conditions. Independent supplies are vital and must be guaranteed for reactor cooling purposes. This report describes a number of expert views on the subject including licence conditions and nuclear submarines.
