Abstract :
This paper focuses on the activities of one of the two main thematic groups in Europe that are involved in robotics. Called the CLAWAR (Climbing and Walking Robots) Project, this robotics thematic network was established in 1998 with the aim of addressing the immediate needs of the robotics research and development community.
