Abstract
A current vector potential (T ) method using the BEM (boundary element method) to solve 3-D eddy current problems is described. The features of the method are that only one kind of variable (T ) is needed in the conductor region and that the unknowns are only defined on the conductor surface. The derivation of the basic equations and a new technique that imposes a gage condition are presented. An application to an AC problem is examined with particular attention to the gage condition
