  • Abstract
    The authors demonstrate an over 1500 km transmission experiment employing WDM technique and optical amplifiers. Four 591.2 Mbit/s IM-DD channels were transmitted through 22 cascaded erbium-doped fibre optical amplifiers. The result shows the possibility of long distance multichannel optical communication systems.
