  • Abstract
    A configuration to increase cross-gain modulation (XGM) bandwidth in semiconductor optical amplifiers by means of a detuned optical filter is proposed. A theoretical explanation is presented and experimental results for 10, 20 and 40 Gbit/s are presented.
