  • Abstract
    A new variable acoustic delay line is developed, where a wedge is introduced in order to make a very fine adjustment of the delay time. Delay time variations from 6.7 to 80.0 ns at a frequency of 150 MHz are successfully obtained. The experimental values of the delay time agree well with the calculated values to an accuracy of 0.3%.
