Abstract :
This paper explains how product lifecycle management (PLM) tools can be used such that an organization´s supply chain is managed to ensure quality, with availability, compliance and competitiveness as primary areas of focus. By providing one product record, PLM can manage, coordinate and optimize the processes, decisions and information about products from initial concept to end-of-life across the extended enterprise.
