Abstract
Isolated asymmetrical cylindrical dipoles and two such parallel nonstaggered identical dipoles are analyzed using a polynomial approximation for current. If the lengths of the two dipole parts do not exceed
, numerical results indicate that the simplest second-order polynomial approximation suffices for most purposes. Only if very accurate current distribution is desired, the third-order polynomial distribution need be used.
