Abstract :
The paper describes an investigation into methods of modelling magnetic fields in electric armour arrays. The investigation focuses on large-scale fields, which are responsible for generating off-axis forces, whereas pinch forces produced by localised high flux densities are not considered here. The limitations of 2D modelling are investigated.
