Based on 10 years´ personal experience implementing academic prototypes of FT-CORBA, helping to establish the FT-CORBA standard, and subsequently developing and selling its commercial implementations, this critique provides an overview of the FT-CORBA standard´s specifications from the viewpoint of realizing its concrete implementation for real-world applications
