  • Abstract
    Developability of a dot-matrix magnetic image is studied in terms of the profiles and contours of the toner volume that can be retained on the magnetographic medium. Perpendicularly magnetized dots and magnetically hard toner particles are assumed. The design parameters are the dot size and pitch (resolution), the image magnetization and the toner magnetic moment. Theoretical results are experimentally supported by Scanning Electron Microphotographs or by large scale simulation.
