Abstract
The outlines of a large program system are described, it calculates nonlinear magnetic fields, linear electric fields, non-linear stationary eddy currents and temperatures in 2 or 3 dimensions. In 3 dimensions the finite difference (FD) method is used, in 2 dimensions both FD-solutions and finite element (FE) solutions are possible. The FE-version contains an automatic element generator. The finite systems of linear or nonlinear equations are solved iteratively by several successive overrelaxation (SOR) techniques. Even extreme large field problems can be investigated with reasonable computing time. There are routines for facilitating the input and evaluating final results. The program is written completely in FORTRAN, it is continuously improved and developed.
