A Comparative study of the Effect of Internet on Foreign Trade in D8 and G8

اين مقاله با استفاده از رهيافت داده‌‌هاي پانلي و بر اساس مباني نظري، كه از فرايند بهينه‌‌سازي اقتصاد خرد به‌ دست آمده است، در پي بررسي اثر اينترنت بر تجارت است. دورة زماني مورد مطالعه سال 2000 تا 2013 براي كشورهاي گروه G8 (گروه هشت كشور صنعتي جهان) و كشورهاي گروه D8 (سازمان كشورهاي اسلامي در حال توسعه) است. بر اساس يافته‌‌هاي به ‌دست‌ آمده از تخمين مدل با روش پانل با اثرهاي ثابت، در هر دو گروه كشورها متغير تعداد استفاده‌‌كنندگان از اينترنت اثر مثبت و معني‌‌دار بر تجارت دارد. هم‌چنين اين متغير در كشورهاي G8 با ضريب بزرگ‌تري اثر مثبت و معناداري بر تجارت دارد. متغير GDP، عمق مالي، درجة باز بودن تجاري، و جمعيت نيز اثر مثبت و معنا‌داري بر تجارت دارد. هم‌چنين با استفاده از آزمون هم‌‌جمعي پدروني وجود رابطة تعادلي بلندمدت بين متغيرهاي مدل بررسي شد كه نتايج به ‌دست ‌آمده وجود هم‌‌انباشتگي را تأييد كرد.

Using the panel data approach and based on theoretical foundations, obtained from the microeconomic optimization process, this paper seeks to investigate the Internet effect on trade. Our case study are G8 (Group of Eight industrial countries) and D8 (Islamic Developing Countries Organization (D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation)). According to the findings of the model estimation by the panel method with fixed effects, the variable of the number of Internet users has a positive and significant effect on trade in both groups. Also, this variable has a positive and significant effect on trade with a higher coefficient in the G8. The variable GDP, financial depth, trade openness degree, and population have also a positive and significant effect on trade. Also, using Pedroni's co-integration test, the existence of a long-run equilibrium relationship among the variables of the model was examined and the results confirmed the existence of co-integration.
