A Critical Review of “An Introduction to Genetic Archaeology”

امروزه با پيشرفت‌‌ها و شاخه‌‌زايي سريع حوضه‌هاي دانش، متخصصان نيز تلاش مي‌كنند به‌سرعت با تأليفات خود به معرفي مباني و توان‌مندي‌هاي اين حوضه‌ها به مخاطبان بپردازند. كتاب مقدمه‌‌اي بر ژنتيك ‌باستان‌شناسي نوشتۀ كمال‌‌الدين نيكنامي ‌و فرانك رمضاني نيز ازجملۀ اين تلاش‌هاست. اين كتاب، كه انتشارات سمت در 424 صفحه آن را منتشر كرده، شامل يك مقدمه و ده فصل است. ويژگي‌هاي صوري و شكلي كتاب از استانداردهاي لازم برخوردار است. گرچه برخي افتادگي‌ها و كاستي‌ها در حروف‌چيني و صفحه‌‌آرايي و به‌ويژه كيفيت برخي از تصاوير كتاب ديده مي‌شود، درمجموع مخاطبان از جنبه‌‌هاي صوري كتاب راضي خواهند بود. اما ازنظر محتوايي كتاب، باوجود دربرداشتن موضوعات گسترده و متنوع، بسيار نامنسجم و با متني پرنوسان و با آشفتگي واضحي گردآوري شده است كه مخاطب به‌محض تورق آن را درمي‌يابد. همان‌طوركه با بررسي دقيق‌تر مشخص مي‌‌شود، كتاب بدون رعايت اصولِ روشِ تحقيق و پژوهش، فقط برداشت‌هايي عين‌به‌عينِ چندصفحه‌‌اي از منابع معدودي است كه پيش‌تر در اين حوضه نگاشته شده و نگارندگان فقط با گردآوري كاملاً نامتعارف آن مطالب، به چاپ كتاب اقدام كرده‌اند كه قطعاً با موازين نگارش و تأليف ناسازگار است.

Acceleration of technological and scientific discoveries in resent dacades led to ramification of different branch of academic fields and this in turn led to flourishing of publication whit the topics dedicated to basics and introduction of these new fields. “An Introduction to Genetic Archaeology”, by Kamaledin Niknami and Maryam Ramezani fall into this kind of publications, which was published by SAMT in 10 chapter and 424 pages. The book enjoys good quality print and while some grammatical and misspell can be seen in few pages, but generally it satisfy the reader tastes. On the other hand the content of the book is not as good as its configuration. Some fluctuation is evident in its narration and its language; lengths of the chapters are not balanced and it does not follow an explicit order from beginning to the end. Beside these shortage, book does not respect copy write and also contain many case of plagiarisms which is described in the paper in very detailed consideration. With respect to copy write and other laws considering this issue in the country, the paper suggests the book should be gathered form the market and after correcting these shortage, redistributed to the book market.
