بررسي و تجزيه و تحليل مفهوم قدرت يكي از موضوعات اساسي و مورد علاقه انديشمندان حوزه علوم سياسي بوده است. پژوهش حاضر در صدد تحليل مفهوم قدرت و منابع تشكيل دهنده آن در حوزه علوم سياسي و روابط بين الملل است. هدف اصلي پژوهش حاضر پاسخگويي به اين سئوال مهم است كه قدرت چيست، داراي چه وجوهي است و هر كدام از اين وجوه داراي چه منابعي هستند؟ يافته هاي اين پژوهش نشان دهنده اين واقعيت است كه در نظر انديشمندان مختلف و به خصوص ناي ، قدرت داراي سه وجه سخت، نرم و هوشمند است. حركت جريان قدرت از منابع سخت آن شامل اجباركنندگي، تهديد و استفاده از ابزار الات نظامي به سمت اقناع، توليد جذابيت و استفاده از ابزارهاي نرم مانند فرهنگ، ارزش هاي سياسي و مطلوبيت هاي سياست خارجي و در نهايت استفاده از راهبردي بهينه و مديريتي مدبرانه از منابع قدرت كه از آن به قدرت هوشمند تعبير مي شود بوده است. اين سياليت، از حالتي به حالت ديگر در آمدن و تغييرات دائمي قدرت ناشي از جوهر قدرت و تغيرات ايجاد شده در بازيگران و محيط پيراموني آن است، به طوري كه مفهوم قدرت در هر زماني در حال تغيير شكل و بازسازي خود مطابق با شرايط محيطي و بازيگران آن است. پژوهش حاضر با بهره گيري از روش توصيفي- تحليلي و استفاده از شيوه مطالعه كتابخانه اي، كوشيده است تا با استفاده از منابع علمي و پژوهشي معتبر به اين سئوال پاسخ دهد و به ارزيابي و تحليل نظريه ناي بپردازد.
