Explaining the Implications of Carrying out Agricultural Agreement on Market Access Regulations in the Iran Agricultural Economy

The increasing integration of the world economy and formation of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) have considerable effect on international trade trend. Nowadays, to perform in the world trade without having the knowledge and abiding with the global trading rules, seems to be very impossible. Agricultural products trade is especially important for its particularities. One of the most important issues of 1994 GATT agreements was Agricultural Treaty which was one of the important and controversial subjects of that round of negotiations. This paper reviews the section of market accession of Agricultural Treaty. After identifying trade regime, non-tariff barriers imposed on importing of selected agricultural products of Iran and calculating their equivalent tariffying, the implications of launching regulations of market access on price, demand, supply and importation of selected products have been figured out by using econometrics models.
