The Perspective of a Sustainable Development in Eastern Iran

Geopolitical and international changes in the second half of the 18 th century caused that eastern part of Iran to lose most of its historical, economical, social and cultural capacities. Owing to this the eastern civilization in this part of the country started to fall. The fall of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), as well as national and international changes made new opportunities for the development of [ran and Afghanistan. in the present time (1996-2005) a lot of projects and plans have been implemented by the Iranian government in this region. All these have paved the way for the development of commercial and economical activities. These projects include Railway and Road ways, industrial plan, energy and communicational nets, river dams, secure borders and international and national investment. This article will deal with all these in details.
