Electronic journalism, with and emphasis on information and communication technologies, is known as the most evident symbol of the communication developments at the beginning of the third millennium. This kind of journalism is now facing a heavy discourse argument with the mass media, in other words, the traditional journalism. It is not so easy to predict the future fate of the media in the world. Many questions and ambiguities are raised about the fates of the past, present and future of the media. Will the electronic media, as some people claim, eliminate the printed newspapers, or will it change their role and functions? What would he the result of the discourse competition between electronic media (cyber) and traditional media? Are we going to witness the creation of a real imagination or suggestion of a virtual reality? Are we part of the media system, or are we standing outside of it with the power of judgment and criticism? For at least four hundred years, journalism has played a central role in information transmission throughout the world, and today as we have stepped in the twenty first century, situation and nature of journalism have come across an obscurity. Economic, social, political and technological changes in the domain of journalism have changed the content, methods being used and the end product of journalism. Emergence of the new media discoureses such as Cyber journalism, Online journalism, Civil journalism, Information Society, Network Society, Digital Democracy, CNN ization, indicates the change in the methods and contents being use, and eventually to the change of the end product of journalism in a general sense. For example, CNN ization is currently referred to the reporting of what is happening (live reporting) to replace reporting of what has happened. Today, however, in spite of the global presence and the long history of journalism, as Vincent Campbell suggests, we are facing with "the lack of a global proposition as to what is journalism."
