Information Searching Process and Mechanisms for Improving It

Doing research on information retrieval (IR) may conduct to some practical solutions for effective designing, applying and using information control tools as well as handling huge volume of information, Internet environment and audio-visual databases. The present paper briefly explains a IR system (IR software) and then discusses about search formula in IR systems and existing search facilities and options in a IR system for retrieving information such as logic operators, proximity, truncation, limiting quantitative data, expanding the concepts and terms, terms list, weighted coefficient and measuring similarities.
