Today one of the common methods of semi-industrial construction is using sandwich panels in which concrete is applied on site, using shotcrete. Structural behavior of these buildings is highly affected by the performance of structural floor and roof under the applied loading. Therefore the flexural behavior of the roof is, considered very important. In this research roof panels are analyzed, theoretically experimentally in full scale. While determining the flexural capacity of the panels, parameters considered are, deformations and stress and strain in, tension and compression reinforcement, diagonal reinforcement and in concrete panels.
Based on the results obtained it can be noted that before tensile cracks
occur in the tensile concrete the truss model can be `used to determine stress and strain diagrams in the section and also analyze internal forces. A two line model is Suggested for determining stress and strain diagrams in the section after cracking occurs, until the ultimate strength, reaches very accurate results were obtained Using this model for internal forces compared to the experimental values, The analysis shows that failure in these panels is due to the failuring of tensile steel, whilst stress in the compression concrete is not, considerable and is still linear.
