چكيده لاتين :
The gas-liquid flow occurs widely in units such as evaporators, boilers, oil and gas transportation pipelines and so on. An important point in pipeline design for gas-liquid flow is prediction of two-phase pressure drop in restrictions. In this work the pressure drop of gas-liquid flow through valves is considered experimentally. Some experiments are carried out on gate and globe valves with nominal diameter of 1 inch. The considered two-phase system is an air-water mixture at average pressure of 2 bars Also, some experiments are carried out on different percent of opening of the valves. Based on the obtained experimental results, an equation is developed for prediction of gas-liquid flow pressure drop in gate and globe valves with different percent of opening. Finally the results of the proposed equations are compared with the results obtained by Fitzsimmons and Chisholm [3, 7] and a good agreement is obtained.
