The Scientific Uprising of Iran during one Decade (1998-2008)

This article studies Iranʹ s performance in various fields of science in comparison with other development countries during one decade effort on the bases of published papers in lSI-indexed journals. The result s show that from the 1st January 1998 to 31st October 2008 (i.e . a period often years plus ten months) Iranʹs contribution in science production for weakest field is 0.038% and for best field is 1.19%. While in the beginning of last decade the Iranʹs contribution in science production has been negligible, in year 2008 in most fields of science, it has been more than 1% . Although in the beginning of last decade in all fields of science we have been under poverty line, in the last of it and espe cially in year 2008, we passed from the poverty line in most fields.
