Existential concepts from the viewpoint of Allama Tabatabaei

Knowledge by presence can be related by two kinds of concepts; essential concepts and existential concepts. Essential concepts represent the essence of a thing while existential concepts the how of it. Tile fact that essential concepts reveal reality does not stand as a criterion for the fact that existential concepts also reveal reality. The fact that existential concepts can show realities depends on how they are abstracted. If philosophical concepts are derived from intuitional realities they produce pure or mixed knowledge once they are attributed to spheres out of abstraction. Having a theoretical approach, the article assesses existential concepts in Allama Tabatabeiʹs works
