The Elements of Coherence in the Text of Kashf al-Mahjub

Every literary text is composed of a series of sentences connected to each other by certain principles and rules which produce a harmonious, articulate and coherent whole. The elements which connect the sentences together and produce a single uniformed text are called the text cohesive elements. The major purpose of discussion under the topic of text cohesion is to study how the writer sets his various materials to maintain coherence. The article recognizes and categorizes the elements of cohesion in the text of Hujviriʹs Kash al-Mahjub.
