Toward a Theoretical Paradigms and Theorizing in information Science

There are various sources on the philosophy of science, but only very few are written from the point of view of information science. There is a clear need to improve the level of knowledge of this field in LIS. Terms in this field are more difficult than they spontaneously may seem to be. We all use terms such as "paradigm" and "theory" or "theorizing" but often in ways that are quite different from their epistemological meanings. If we are to promote the field of LIS, we have to recognise the epistemological models and theoretical bases of the field. The purpose of present paper, therefore, is to introduce the existant paradigms and ideas in order to prepare bases for analysing the concept of information.
