چكيده لاتين :
Since the Remote Sensing entered to the operational stage for study and evaluation of earth natural resources, some important features of systems were always been considered by designers and developer to enhance. These efforts were concerning to the characteristics of systems that directly affect the observations specifications. Regarding the Earth Observation Systems (EOS), these features include 1) providing a synoptic view or a complete geographical coverage of the surface phenomena, 2) acquisition of spectral radiation or reflection information of phenomena in a wider electromagnetic region and with more details, and 3) improvement in spatial sampling capabilities. This trend is clearly visible in the course of remote sensing development and imaging systems from panchromatic to multispectral and hyper spectral. Hyper spectral Satellite Imagery (HSI) may be considered as an ideal system for all earth observation applications. This system, basically, is able to acquire the image data of ground surface objects and phenomena with better spectral, spatial, radiometric and temporal resolution. Because of different reasons, such a technology as it should has not been available so far. But, recently certain pioneer earth observation organizations and space agencies, plan to study and develop this imagery technology. This paper will review the available and next generation of hyper spectral satellite systems, as well as the potential applications of these remotely sensed data.
