A Compararative study of the Form and Content of the subject headings of Islam in the Persian Subject Headings authority database with that of the Library of Congress.

Using content analysis method, this study aimed at determining whether or not consistency and lawfulness regarding the form, structure and concept in the Persian Subject Headings of NLAIR authorities dealing with concept from the Islamic point of view in general (otherwise than Islamic philosophy, Islamic legal theory and likewise). The above-mentioned subjects are compared with their equivalents in LCSH as viewed in the Library of Congress subject. Authority database.
