In this research two Stratigraphic sections titled as Dariyan and Maharlu sections related to Jahrum Formation have been selected. The thickness of the sediments in these sections is 610 m. and they have been studied in 400 thin-sections. In general, index microfacies in the studied sections includes: Wackestone, Packstone, Grain stone, Dolomite and Dolomitic limestone. Considering the identified index foraminifers in the studied sections such as the following taxons:
Miscellanea sp., Fallotella alavensis Mangin, Kathina sp., Lockartia sp., Opertorbitolites sp.,Somalina ste-faninii Silvestri, Orbitolites complanatus Lamark , Dictyoconus cf. aegyptiensis, Coskinolina liburnica Atache, Rhapydionina urensis Sirel, Nummulites sp., Alveolina sp., Lituonella ruberti Stache, the age of studied sediments is from Upper Palaeocene to Middle Eocene.
Also considering microbiostratigraphic studies, three biozones have been recognized for identified foraminifers in the studied sections. Actually, based on the sequence Stratigraphic studies, the sediments of studied sections include a 3rd order sediment sequence. This sequence with sequence lithostratigraphic limit of SB2 type is placed on Sachun Formation. Upper limit of the aforementioned sequence is of SB1 type which is placed under Asmari Formation and is distinctive with an erosional surface disconformity. Most forwarding surface (mfs) is observed in the mentioned sections of limes with Wackestone facies. The mentioned sequence encompasses HST and TST facies sets.
