Theory of Weak and Failed State: Redefining the Geopolitics of Violence

Theory of weak and failed State has articulated upon explanation of interaction between sovereign institution and society, and based on analyses of State debility or dysfunction in sovereignty functions, especially in satisfying the vital needs of citizens and guarantying the security and required rights. This theory has been popular among the scholars of developing countries in the cold war era, and now in the post-cold war era, especially after September 11 events, its validity have been increased. Indeed when the U. S. elites insisting radically on the anti-terrorism doctrine based on evaluation of threats of anarchic internal situations of some States, theory of weak or failed State makes suitable framework for discussing security, peace, and development.
