Essay on Tylorʹs Theory about Identity Problem and Multiculturalism in Modern Time

Identity problem in recent decades has produced ideas regarding return to self and religious tendencies in Islamic countries, and nationalist movements against stranger culture and in the form of xenophobia in wide geographical scale like Latin America, Africa and Asia. This has led to new challenges in support of local, domestic and national culture, so that Hantington has named such a situation as Civilizationsʹ struggle, and has emphasized that civilizationʹs gap is more important than the discourse of cultural relationship. The article examines the significance of the subject, not only from the diplomatic and geopolitical point of view, but also considers it with regard to political science and philosophy.
