Evaluating the Functions of Propaganda in the Process of Confidentiality Prevention

News transmission, enlightening the public thoughts and raising the level of peopleʹs vision are from the main functions of the propaganda. Propaganda is as old as the human creation. It has two kinds of strategies: the propaganda dependent on realities and bound to the ethical principles and the propaganda inspirer of the evil and badness and far from realities and truths. Propaganda has a special status in Islam and used for the purpose of spreading the justice and raising humanʹs vision and knowledge towards goodness and piousness and also issuing the ideological content of Islam. Propaganda has many functions in the society. Yet, the counter intelligence organizations exploit the propaganda with the aim of enhancing the level of security knowledge and awareness of their staff. In fact, the counter intelligence organizations use the propaganda for the sake of confidentiality prevention. The functions of confidentiality propaganda include two kinds of general function and specific function. The functions of confidentiality propaganda with convergence, the methods and means of propaganda and also the step by step enforcement of effective methods of confidentiality propaganda can have a deserved effect on the enhancement of confidentiality knowledge of the staff and help the counter intelligence organizations in the fulfillment of their confidentiality prevention goals.
