Effect of age on fecundity of perch perca fluviatilis in the Anzali lagoon (in Iran)

Haji Tarkhan zander fish or River zander (perca fluviatis) belongs to family percidae. Haji Tarkhan zander fish lives in south basin of Caspian sea, Anzaly lagoon and Amir kalaieh lagoon of Lahijan. Study of fertility condition is one major indicator of reproduction in fish. So , fertility of Anzali lagoons Haji Tarkhan zander fish was studies in spring 1388. For this reason, 60 Haji Tarkhan zanders were fished ranging 3,4 and 5 year old. According to results obtained , maximum average forked height (23.8 cm) , body weight (191.6 g) , ovary weight (28.66 g) , absolute fecundity (18312.6 pieces) was related to 5 years old Haji Tarkhan zander and minimum of those were respectively (20.18 cm) , (105.96 g) , (16.76 g) , (12756.6 pieces) related to 3 years old Haji Tatkhan zander. In addition , Maximum average relative fecundity (122.9) , Gonado somatic index (16.11) were related to 3 years old Haji Tarkhan zander and minimum average relative fecundity were respectively (82.56 pieces) , (11.64) related to 4 years old Haji Tarkhan zander fish. According to nonparametric test of man whiting and Tokay there were significant differences in respect to different bioassay and absolute fecundity factors.
