تقليل منابع توجه و بهبود عملكرد تحت فشار در يك تكليف حسي ـ حركتي

Depleted Attentional Resources and Performance Improvement under Pressure in a Sensori-motor Task

هدف تحقيق حاضر، بررسي تغييرات سازوكارهاي توجه و اجراي يك تكليف حسي ـ حركتي (پرتاب دارت) در شرايط فشار بود. بيست فرد مبتدي (با ميانگين سن12/1±50/20 سال) و داوطلب، پس از يك جلسه تمرين، در سه وضعيت شامل: 1. موقعيت پايه، 2. تكليف دوگانه ـ فشار پايين، و 3. تكليف دوگانه ـ فشار بالا، مورد ارزيابي قرار گرفتند. در تكليف دوگانه از شركت‌كنندگان خواستيم هم‌زمان با اجراي پرتاب دارت، به يك محرك شنيداري كه با دو فركانس قابل تشخيص ارايه مي‌شد نيز پاسخ دهند. در شرايط فشار به شركت‌كنندگان گفته شد اگر به 150 درصد امتياز پايه‌ي خود برسند، پاداش مي‌گيرند. بررسي دست‌كاري شرايط فشار نشانگر افزايشي در حدود 10 ضربه در دقيقه در ضربان قلب بود. نتايج تحليل واريانس با اندازه هاي تكراري نشان داد كه تحت فشار سرعت واكنش و نرخ دقت پاسخ به تكليف ثانويه به ميزان معناداري كاهش يافته است، اما عملكرد پرتاب دارت دچار افت نشد، بلكه بهبود يافت. بنابراين، فشار از يك طرف باعث تقليل منابع توجه و ناكارآمدي پردازش شد، و از طرف ديگر انگيزه‌اي شده تا فرد مبتدي نظارت آشكار‌تري به اجرا داشته باشد.

The aim of the present study was to determine changes in attentional resources and performance of a sensori-motor task (darts) under a pressure condition. Twenty novices (mean age 20.5 ± 1.12 years) voluntarily participated in this investigation. Following an instructional session of darts, the participants were tested in three conditions including (a) baseline, (b) dual-task under low pressure, and (c) dual- task under high pressure. In the dual-task paradigm, we asked the participants to perform darts and simultaneously respond to an auditory stimulus with two distinguishable frequencies. Under high pressure condition, the participants were told that they would have the chance to win reward if they met 150 percent of their baseline scores. A pressure manipulation check revealed an increased hart rate by about 10 bpm. Repeated measures analyze of variance (ANOVA) revealed that the reaction rate and the rate of response accuracy to the secondary task decreased significantly under pressure, yet the performance of darts was not only deteriorated, it improved significantly. Though pressure has resulted in depletion of attentional resources, yet it has created a motive by which the novice individual has acquired a more explicit supervision on his/her performance.
