لذت از تفكر در يكه‌گي و پيوستار هستي‌شناسي در جامعه آرماني و هدفمند دوران كلاسيك و عصر روشنگري سده هجدهم جاي خود را به جهاني تكه‌تكه و تشريح‌پذير در ساختار انديشه جامعه مدرنيسمِ قرن نوزدهم داد. عكاسي در دوران مدرنيسم در ابتدا با نگاه آرمان‌گرايانه طبقه بورژوازي به دنبال گسترش ادراك انسان از پيرامون خود و ساخت زباني جهاني، به نقد و در نتيجه تشريح و جز پردازي كليت هستي پرداخت. فتوكلاژ اوج چنين رويكردي است، در باورپذيري تكه‌گي و تشخيص. انسان مدرن در سيطره تعدد و شتاب ابزار، فن‌آوري و تكنيك مقهور مي‌شود و براي گذار از اين بحران به دنبال تغيير، تحول، آشتي و سازگاري با سوژگي انسان و تمام پتانسيل شناختي او مي‌شود، تا به مدد تكنولوژي به پيوند و سازگاري دوباره قطعات متكثر تفكر مدرنيسم نايل گردد، بر اين اساس فتومونتاژ خواستگاه جامعه معاصر مي‌شود.

Enjoyment of contemplation in being unique and solidarity of ontology in the idealistic and goal oriented society of classic era and age of enlightenment in the 18th century was replaced by a fragmented and analyzable world in the structure of modernistic society idea in the 19th century. In modernistic era, photography firstly addressed to criticism and analysis the totality of existence by the idealistic approach of bourgeois’ class to develop human’s cognition from his circumference and construction of a global language. Photo collage is the top of this approach in believability of fragmentation and cognition. Modern human is subjugated by the dominance of technology and tools multiplicity and acceleration. Passing this crisis, human goes to change, mutation, conciliation and adaptation to human’s subjectivity and all his cognitive potential to achieve adaptation and rejoin plural fragments of modernism contemplation. Therefore, photo assembly becomes the origin of Current era
