كمك گرفتن از اساطير و قصه هاي عاميانه براي حل مشكلات تصحيح متن و رسيدن به صورت صحيح قديمي تر يك واژه يا مصرع و... شيوه اي راهگشا در تصحيح متون كلاسيك است. اين شيوه خصوصاً در تصحيح ابيات شاهنامه بسيار استفاده شده است. يكي از ابيات چالش برانگيز شاهنامه كه در نسخه هاي خطي و چاپ هاي مختلف به صورت هاي گوناگون ضبط شده بيتي است كه تهمينه در داستان رستم و سهراب، هنگام معرفي خود به رستم مي آورد: يكي دخت شاه سمنگان منم بزشك هزبر و پلنگان منم خالقي مطلق در مقاله اي كه پيرامون اين بيت نوشته آن را جزو ابيات تاريك شاهنامه دانسته كه در مصرع دوم ضبط درست كلمات و معني مصراع مبهم است. ابهام در اين بيت باعث شده هر يك از پژوهشگران با دلايل خود صورتي از اين بيت را پذيرفته و در مورد آن اظهار نظر كند. خالقي مطلق در يادداشت هاي شاهنامه ضمن پذيرفتن نظر يكي از پژوهشگران، تأكيد مي كند كه ضبط قديمي تر بيت همين است كه آورده ايم و احتمالاً آييني در پشت آن است كه ما بي خبريم. بر همين اساس ما در اين پژوهش برآنيم تا به كمك اسطوره شناسي تطبيقي ثابت كنيم كه شخصيت تهمينه بازمانده الهه مادر يا يكي از ايزدبانوان باستاني است و همچنان كه خود او تأكيد كرده به واقع پزشك شير و پلنگان بوده و با آنها در ارتباط است و ضبط قديمي تر بيت ضبط صحيح مي باشد.

Abstract Geting help from mythology and folk tales is useful way to correct classical texts problems. This method was used especially in the correction of shahnameh poems. Following distich is one of the challenging poems of Shahnameh that in manuscripts and printed books in several different forms was recorded: Sole daughter of the king of Samangan And the physician of lions and leopards is I am. Khaleghi motlagh in an article written about it said this distich is one of the darkest distiches of the shahnameh that in the second Hemistich the true words and meaning of words is vague. Ambiguity on this distich reasons any of the researchers accepted any form of this distich and comment about it. Khaleghi motlagh accepts the terms of the one of the researchers and stresses that this is an older form of distich recordings that we have and possibly there is a ritual behind it but we do not know that. In this study, we want by help of comparative mythology prove that tahmineh character was survived from mother goddess character or one of the ancient goddesses of Iran and also she emphasized she is actually physician of lions and leopards then an older form of distich recordings is correct form.
