پوزيتيويسم و روي گرداني بعضي از فيزيك دانان برجستۀ قرن بيستم از آن

Positivism and the reversal of the position of some eminent physicists of the twentieth century against it

بینش اكثر دانشمندان نیمة اول قرن بیستم بر مدار تجربه گرایی بود. آن ها برای تجربه ها و پدیده های مشاهده پذیر اهمیت بسیاری قائل بودند و تنها معیار معتبر برای آنها مشاهده پذیری كمیات بود. اگر چه این نگاه موجب پیشرفت هایی در قرن بیستم شد، اما اشكالات و ایرادات آن باعث شد كه برخی از طرفداران این مكتب نیز به نقد آن بپردازند و از آن روی گردان شوند. در این مقاله دیدگاه های بعضی از فیزیكدانان برجستة معاصر، كه خود روزی از طرفداران این مكتب بودند و سپس از آن روی گردان شدند، بررسی می­شود. همچنین نظرات برخی از فیزیك دانان بزرگی را كه در همان ایام پرشور رشد این مكتب، نكات مهم نقدآمیزی را در ارتباط با آن گوشزد نمودند، متذكر شده ایم،و دلایل تغییر نگاه فیزیكدانان موافق پوزیتیویسم را بر اساس معیارهای متقن منطقی و استدلال های فلسفی بیان كرده ایم. در انتها به نظرات بعضی از فیزیكدانان برجستۀ اخیر كه با پوزیتیویسم مخالفت كرده اند و یا به خاطر پرهیز از خداباوری سراغ پوزیتیویسم رفته اند، می پردازیم.

The vision of most scientist and scholars in the first half of the twentieth century was empiricism. They gave more importance to observable experiences and phenomena, and the only valid criterion for them was observability of quantities. Although this view contributed to some advances in the twentieth century, but its drawbacks and misunderstandings caused some proponents of this school to criticize it and to become against it. In this paper, the views of some of the most prominent contemporary physicists, who themselves became one of the followers of this school, is reviewed. We have also mentioned some of the great physicists who pointed out the most important criticisms agaist this school. Furthermore, we have explained the reasons for changing the view of physicists in line with positivism, based on logical criteria and philosophical reasoning. In the end, we look at the views of some of the contemporary physicists who have opposed positivism or have gone through positivism to deny the existence of God.
