The Role of Social Virtual Networks in Tunisian Revolution

يكي از پديده‌هاي نوظهور در فضاي مجازي، كه امكان تشكيل اجتماع‌هاي مجازي را فراهم مي‌كند، شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي مجازي است كه به عنوان نيروي پيش‌رونده در تغييرات اجتماعي و سياسي جوامع محسوب مي‌شوند. در همين چارچوب، تغييرات سياسي و اجتماعي كه در دسامبر 2010 از تونس آغاز و سپس بخش اعظمي از خاورميانۀ عربي را درنورديد، پرسش‌هاي مهمي را دربارۀ نقش فناوري‌ها و ساختارهاي نوين رسانه‌اي در جنبش‌هاي سياسي معاصر بر‌انگيخته است. بر اين‌ اساس، يكي از موضوعات مهم در ارتباط با تغييرات سياسي و اجتماعي، نقش رسانه‌هاي نوظهور است. با توجه به اهميت فزاينده شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي مجازي در تحولات سياسي و اجتماعي جوامع، سؤال پژوهش حاضر اين است كه شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي مجازي چه نقشي را در انقلاب تونس ايفا كردند؟ فرضيه پژوهش حاضر اين است كه شبكه‌هاي اجتماعي از طريق تسهيل و تسريع ارتباطات ميان معترضان و هماهنگي ميان آن‌ها، تدوين برنامه‌ها، شكل‌دهي و جهت‌دهي به تجمعات معترضان نقش مهمي را در انقلاب تونس ايفا كردند.

One of the newly emerging phenomenon in the virtual space which provided the possibility of virtual communities are the social virtual networks which are considered as a driving force in social and political changes in societies. In this context the social and political changes which began in 2010 in Tunisia and then affected the a big part of the Arab Middle East raised many important questions about the role of these new technologies and new media structures in contemporary political movements. Therefore one of the important subjects in relation with social and political changes is the role of new generations of media. This paper is an attempt to explore the role that social virtual media played in Tunisian Revolution. The hypothesis of the paper is that the social networks played a very important role in Tunisian revolution through facilitating and speeding up the communication between protestor and helping them to coordinate and manage their plans
